About us
The Clearing Body for Copyright on the Internet (CUII) is an independent body. The CUII was founded by Internet access providers and rightholders and coordinates the implementation of court blocking procedures and the enforcement of court blocking orders.
Structurally copyright-infringing websites (SCIWs) operate a criminal business model and deliberately violate copyright.
If the court decides that the structurally copyright-infringing website must be blocked, the relevant rightholder will notify the dedicated office of the CUII. The internet access providers organized within the CUII will then implement the DNS block.
